Our 5 Watt Do-it-Yourself Solar Kit has everything you need to build your own solar trickle charger to maintain 12V batteries. The 5 watt solar panel is perfect for keeping your RV, boat, ATV battery topped off when in storage or not in use.
Includes 10 feet of wire, alligator clips, male lighter plug and female lighter socket. Trickle charges your battery at 290mA charge rate or .29 amps. You can also use the solar panel to charge cell phones, iPods, iPhones, PDA's or other small electronic devices using the female lighter socket. The 5W panel is not large enough to power laptops.
Larger batteries would require a 10 Watt solar panel.
Does not include a charge controller, which is not required when using a 5W solar panel with a deep cycle battery. The current is low enough that you will not overcharge the battery.
Solar panel measures 7" X 11" X .7". 25 year limited power warranty from manufacturer.
