I have the ceramic compost crock and even though I emptied it daily, the cleanup of the crock was an awful job. Now with the bag inside the crock, I can easily carry the bag out to the outdoor compost, simply wipe the inside of the crock, put in a new bag and I am done. I did discover though, that the bag needs to be emptied at the final compost site in order for the contents to compost correctly. The bag decomposes but not fast enough to let the contents breathe. It's a simple thing to just tip the bag bottom up and either put the emptied bag to the side of the compost or in a separate place. This product is a great way to compost and yet keep the process clean and green.
