Best can crusher I have found December 17, 2007 William Hiles (Middleburg, VA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two different can crushers before finally buying this one. It is the best constructed crusher that I have found and it is the most solid.
Great Buy! Expensive shipping.... August 8, 2007 Lisa Oglesby (Palm Coast, FL) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product works great! Heavy duty crusher but the shipping was $10 - which I think is a little much...Use for 16oz cans & smaller..
Review of the crusher July 12, 2007 William R. Lytle (Sand Springs, Ok) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The crusher that I purchased works great. The only probem I have had with it is the cans try to squirt out of the crusher. If it had a small lip to hold the cans would be a great help.
So-So Crusher October 28, 2007 Penn Nayme (Los Altos, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Like others have said, it will break, belying the "Heavy Duty" tag. Ours lasted about 3 years (6 - 10 cans/day) before the rivet connecting the handle to the lever arm failed. Even when new, it wouldn't crush cans very flat, so I often stacked two crushed cans together and ran through another cycle to really flatten them. Before it failed, it would also squirt the cans out the front unless you held them in place. I'm trying the Pacific Precision Metals #77701 next because of the large number of rave reviews for that product.
Junk July 31, 2007 Ron PA 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Thought I'd save a few bucks over the STL, which I'd used a lot at my parent's house, and I regret it. First it wouldn't crush a can anywhere near flat so I put a piece of 1/2" plywood in the bottom. Next the hinge pins are really loose and I have to concentrate on keeping it in line when pulling it down and I don't think it'll last long the way those pins are angled and getting pulled. Last the cans rarely come out in a neat slug like the STL does, they're bent over and torn and just a mess. Don't touch this piece of junk.
