EXCELLENT PRODUCT EXCELLENT FOR OUR PLANET AND ECONOMY July 25, 2007 Alan C. Kesler (Brooklyn, NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like this product because its quality and does what I need it to do. It also takes a byproduct which ordinarily is trashed into a economically viable product which is easy on the planet. The price is also good
Have been using the brand for over a year May 2, 2008 Average Dude (Texas) Like it or not I am still attracted to the dark side of disposable and this brand makes me feel better about my usage, right or wrong each must decide. Large enough for most items, sturdy as any store brand I have used, holds up to knife marks fairly well (Have not cut thru one yet) but be aware with a large amount of liquid on the plate combined with vigorous cutting may create a soak thru. This product line has become a permanent addition to our house.
Eco-friendly and durable June 19, 2007 Helen J. Casper (Fort Lauderdale, FL) Stalkmarket's products are dead useful and eco-friendly. I've never had a problem with any of them leaking or anything like that, yet it's made from recyclable material and is biodegradable. I recommend this for anyone who loves their paper plates but wants to be more green.
Leak resistant? August 23, 2007 L. Mountford (Bellingham, WA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These work great for things like sandwiches, burgers, lightly dressed salads, etc. They're a good buy, and certainly good for the environment. But my experience has been that they do not do at all well with anything "sloppy" or juicy. Spaghetti with meat sauce: the juice from the sauce leaked through. Broiled chicken: the juices leaked through. Cole slaw: the dressing leaked through. So if you're planning to use these mostly for casual eating, where nothing too "liquid" is involved, these will work beautifully. Otherwise, you're probably better off using a "coated" paper plate.
