Product Description
Finally a dimmable compact fluorescent. These bulbs are about the same size as a standard 75W bulb and fit many of the same fixtures. Recent survey in Popular Mechanics magazine determined that a majority of those tested actually preferred the light of compact fluorescents to that of standard incandescents.
The manufacturer includes these cautions:
"Use in dry location only. Not for use in totally enclosed recessed fixtures. Not for use where exposed to weather.
This device is not intended for use with emergency exit fixture or emergency lights. Added weight may cause instability of free-standing portable lamps.
This product may cause interference with radios, cordless phones, televisions, and remote controls. If interferences occur, move this product away from the device and plug into a different outlet. Always install and remove from fixture by grasping plastic base
Use only with portable lamps in which the distance from the bottom of the base to the top of the lampholder does not exceed three (3) times minimum base width.
