Bright, crisp, economic, but not cold. February 28, 2007 L. Bonnaillie (U.S.A.) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This is exactly what I needed. A bright, economical light bulb that would keep me awake for hours and diminish the eyestrain while I work on my computer all night, but without the cold, hospital-like blueish-white tint of other fluorescent light bulbs.
Great product June 12, 2007 David Zehner (Elmhurst, IL) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
We have slowly been replacing all of our bulbs as they burn out and have been very pleased with the quality and cost efficency of the new bulbs. We are seeing a significant decrease in our electric bill after replacing about twenty bulbs in the house.
Very Bright - Also Very Tall June 12, 2007 A. Crow (Albuquerque, NM) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This bulb is very bright and works great in the garage, but it is also very tall. It may not fit or it may stick up above standard laps/floor laps or other light fixtures.
Check the small print July 11, 2007 Jill Zimmer (Columbus, IN United States) 3 out of 11 found this review helpful
These type of bulbs are great, but most of them owe some of their "shelf-life" to the mercury additive which is why you may have to follow disposal/recycling requirements in your community. Unless the bulb breaks, there shouldn't be a concern about the mercury portion of the bulb. I just thought it was a good idea to be fully informed. I saw a CNN story on it, and didn't believe it until I read the packaging - sure enough, its mentioned. I don't know if Globe's bulbs contain mercury or not, but as a consumer, you may want to check this out.
Great bulb, just check where you want to use it June 30, 2008 D. Garcia 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using this bulb for months now and it works like a charm. It's bright, white and silent. The only thing to keep an eye out for, as others have mentioned, is it's size. It hasn't been a problem in my case; just make sure that where you want to use it has plenty of room for the bulb. It extends ~16cm (~6.5") beyond the socket.
