The Epicurean gourmet series utensil line brings you the look and feel of traditional wood utensils but with all the benefits of a nylon utensil. Each wood composite Epicurean utensil handle is shaped with the same select material used in all of Epicurean's renowned cutting surfaces. These surfaces are made up of layers of paper that are then soaked with a food safe resin and cured to create a solid sheet. During the production cycle the layers of paper are gradually bonded with each other to create solid, durable sheets. This material is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and heat resistant up to 350°. To top it off they are paired with a high temperature nylon head, which is heat resistant up to 400°, and is perfectly suited for its particular job. Having incomparable designs and unique added features, all Epicurean utensils will not harbor bacteria and are dishwasher safe. This large ladle has measuring guides designed in the nylon part of the ladle: 1/8 cup, 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, and 3 draining slots at tip of the ladle. The handles are comfortable with their rounded edges and the low profile material makes these tools easy to store in a drawer or crock. The ladle measures 12.8-inches long by 3.25-inches wide by 2.8-inches high and has a natural handle with a black nylon head. As with all Epicurean products, it's made in the USA.
