Product Description Slim design / Fits into your refrigerator door / Reduces chlorine taste / Includes pitcher and one filter
Amazon.com Review For crisp, clean drinking water in small family or single-person households, Brita offers their Slim Pitcher with Filter. The filter reduces impurities and harmful substances from tap water and holds approximately 40 liquid ounces. The slim pitcher fits neatly into many refrigerator doors, enabling users to maximize shelf space. Certified by the National Sanitation Foundation International, Brita water filters contain a mesh screen to catch sediment and particles as tap water flows through into the pitcher's basin. Brita pitchers employ an ion exchange resin with activated carbon granules to draw mercury, zinc, copper and cadmium from tap water, trapping these harmful elements inside the filter. Brita filters eradicate up to 98 percent of the lead found in tap water while significantly reducing other impurities and dangerous bacteria including cryptosporidium, giardia, and benzene. Additionally, the odor and flavor of chlorine are removed from drinking water. Brita filters should be replaced every 40 gallons or after two months of use. Replacement filters can be purchased separately. Wash the Slim Pitcher by hand in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Brita offers a limited 90-day warranty on pitchers in the event of manufacturer defects. The pitcher weighs two pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Great for College Students November 4, 2005 Diaspora Chic (Silver Spring, MD) 41 out of 48 found this review helpful
The cost of bottled water adds up and can burn a hole in your wallet, especially if you're a starving student. The Brita pitcher is affordable and saves you more money. And it's also a healthy approach to drinking sodas which adds a great deal of sugar and pounds. Don't let the size fool you. It's not heavy and doesn't take up room. I highly recommend getting this product as to buying spring water in bulk and gallons. You won't feel that you're wasting money and you will get six to eight glasses of water each day.
Does the job brilliantly April 27, 2006 Bradley Berkemier (North Sioux City, SD USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
While the filters are expensive to buy, this is a small pitcher and if you don't go through much you can stretch them out pretty well. It does the job perfectly, taking the awful chlorine taste out of my water. It fits well in the door of our dorm fridge, keeping room for the essentials like pizza and beverages. Absolutely nothing to complain about with this product.
Perfect for the dorm room! August 24, 2005 H. Karel (Lyhnchburg, VA (G.R. MI too)) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
In a space built for two, we've had to fit in three and all of our stuff. The Brita Slim pitcher fits in, and cleans out the water, tastes just like bottled, but better.
Simple and painless February 6, 2006 michael__v (brooklyn, ny United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
You cant beat it for the cost and the size is perfect for one person, probably tolerable for two if you refill after each use.
I love Brita water! March 12, 2007 The Lady (USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have been using Brita for almost 20 years now. I have one regret: at the advice of a family member, I switched to another water filter/pitcher. I recently switched back to Brita and I will tell you there is a monumental difference in the taste of the water. Brita is far superior to the competition. It tastes better than bottled water. I have been drinking so much water since I set the pitcher up, I'm sure I have exceeded the recommended 8 glasses a day...and, that's a good thing!
